Astrology has meant many things to many cultures over millennia, but this afternoon we look to the heavens as a harbinger of this Halloween. To avoid bogging this piece down with technical astrological jargon I’ve written in a style closer to the conversational and poetic.
The theme of this Halloween is about pleasing the self internally, the Venusian kind of sweet indulgences—cake for example. To experience this pleasure, individual, insistent disruption may need to occur. Yet the emphasis at the sun’s setting, the beginning of Halloween and a relationship symbol, occurs in the deep, sexual, regenerative sign of Scorpio, the Scorpion. Dark feelings in all your relationships and partnerships, including how you intersect with the public, expand if you choose to emphasize others. You do best to emphasize your own simple, daily pleasures as opposed to seeking those outside yourself, lest you be prepared for a most intense, transformative, carnal Halloween.
There will be those who aggressively ram themselves to the fore dispensing with any thought concerning true, dramatic self-expression, and they will not stand themselves in good stead, though let’s hope they learn the tragic lesson of commanding a group at all costs. You, dear reader, do best to express this spirit of Halloween in your home space or in a comfortable, supportive atmosphere enacting a drama that aims to purge demons, good and bad, in a cathartic ritual.
You find good fortune here. No doubt you will have a dreamy, hazy night amongst friends and receive the chance to find mutual healing. Those departed are venerated in celebrations of Halloween across the globe and are there to help you find sure footing as they bequeath eternal wisdom. Choose wisely, though, how you conduct yourself this night, and you will do well this evening and every one thereafter.
