I could never be assumed that Milan Christopher is shy, in fact he is more than comfortable with pushing the boundaries of social media, especially Instagram. Regardless of what you think Milan lives his life on his own terms. He would become the first openly gay reality star on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood; as he explored and maneuvered through his relationship with his then boyfriend Miles Brock.
It's no surprise that Milan is a powerful advocate for the LGBTQ community. Last year he released "When I Go" a song that directly combated suicide and bullying affecting LGBTQ youth. In a recent interview with Paper Milan Christopher talked openly and directly about homophobia in the hip-hop community, being a role model, and Snapchat is better than Grindr. Also with showing more than he ever could on social media.
Do you consider yourself a role model?
Now I have to be honest, until yesterday I never knew who he was, nor heard of him. His use of social media (Instagram) is defiantly different. I watched this video "Is You Mad or Nay", and to be honest didn't get it. I looked at his pictures on Instagram and yes he like to pose in little to nothing, but his pictures are really no different than others that I've seen. There are a few pictures that push the bounties of Instagram. I can only say that he has made an impact on the LGBTQ community in his own way, and he does live his life on his own terms. Like it or not.
